Lug Uphill
Lug Uphill is an uphill mountain race organised by the Irish Mountain Running Association at Barravore, County Wicklow on Friday 7th August 2026. It is the final race of the Irish Uphill League and part of the inaugural Leinster Weekend. The event is capped at 50 entries. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. Entries open Monday 3rd August 2026 and close Thursday 6th August 2026.
There are two route options. Runners age 18 and older in 2026 are eligible for the long course. Runners and walkers age 14 and older in 2026 are eligible for the short course.
- Long Course: 3.6 km, 720 m climb
- Short Course: 4 km, 490 m climb
Mandatory kit is Level B standard and all runners must bring a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. The exact kit to be carried may be finalised and announced at registration. Failure to carry required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification and random kit checks may be carried out.
IMRA has arranged camping in the Glenmalure Valley with coin operated showers and portaloos on site; booking will be via the IMRA shop and opens in June. This race will serve as a trial for the Nasego Mountain Running Six Nations event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
