Lug Uphill

This is an uphill mountain running event. It takes place near Barravore in County Wicklow. The course covers 6.00 km and involves a total ascent of 800 m. The terrain is considered easy.

All participants must bring mandatory kit to the race, including a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or equivalent. The final decision on which items must be carried during the race will be made on the day based on conditions.

The event is part of the inaugural Leinster Weekend. It will also be used as the first of two trial races for the Nasego Mountain Running Six Nations event in Italy. The second trial is the Tinahely half marathon on the following day.

Entry costs €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The entry limit is 50 participants. The race is not GPS-enabled, and only major junctions on the course will be marked. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
