Lub Dub Run and Walk
The Lub Dub event is an annual athletic fundraiser held in Sedalia, Missouri. The race series provides participants with multiple options to participate, including in-person routes and a virtual format. The event is organized by the Bothwell Foundation, and all proceeds are directed to the Camye Callis Gaspard Memorial Heart Fund. This fund supports the acquisition of cardiac-related equipment for the Bothwell Regional Health Center and local communities within Pettis and Benton counties.
The in-person routes include the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
The start line is located south of the Bothwell Regional Health Center near 15th Street and Collins Avenue. Participants receive a race t-shirt, a finishers medal, and timing services provided by Heartland Racing Co. The finish line area features refreshments for participants.
The event is held rain or shine, and registration fees are non-refundable. For those who cannot attend in person, the virtual event allows participants to complete their run or walk at any location between March 25 and April 26. Virtual registrants receive their race packets by mail. Packet pick-up for local participants is held on the Friday afternoon before the race and on the morning of the event at the Bothwell Education Center.
