Event Overview
The Lu Mil Wine Run 5k is an annual event held at the Lu Mil Vineyard in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Participants can choose to run or walk the course while viewing the vineyard grounds. Registration is open to a wide range of ages, from 1 to 99 years old, with discounted rates available for minors.
The course consists of a dirt terrain road path that includes several turns and rolling hills. Participants follow directional arrow signs throughout the winery and vines to reach the finish line. While strollers are permitted, they are not recommended due to the uneven nature of the ground. Dogs are not allowed at the venue.
Participation and Timing
This event is professionally chip timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results are posted online following the conclusion of the race. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option is available. The available distance for this event is:

Registration includes a cotton t-shirt, a race bib, and a finisher medal that also functions as a wine stopper. For participants aged 21 and older, the entry also includes a portable wine glass and a pour of wine.
Awards and Charity
Age group awards are provided for the top three finishers in several categories, ranging from ages 1-9 to 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to remain eligible for these awards. Proceeds from the event benefit the Dublin Peanut Festival.
