Event overview
The Lu Mil Wine Run 5k is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held on March 14, 2026 at Lu Mil Vineyard in Elizabethtown, NC (438 Suggs-Taylor Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337). The race is timed and scored by a professional timing company and results are posted online. Proceeds from the event will benefit the 2026 Dublin Peanut Festival.
Course and logistics
The course is an all dirt terrain road path around the winery and the vines. The route includes rolling hills, inclines, and several turns. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Dogs are not allowed on site; strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground. Walking is allowed. A virtual participation option is offered; registrants can either pick up a packet and run independently or request packet shipment for an additional shipping fee.
Entry, swag and awards
Registration includes a T-shirt (super soft ring spun cotton), a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, and a chip-timed race bib. Minors may register at a discounted rate but will not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each ten-year category: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over.
