Event
The Lu Mil Wine Run 5k takes place on March 14, 2026 at Lu Mil Vineyard, 438 Suggs-Taylor Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk, professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing. Proceeds from the race will benefit the 2026 Dublin Peanut Festival.
Details
The course is an all dirt road path around the winery and the vines, with rolling hills, inclines and several turns. Registration includes a T-shirt (ring spun cotton), a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, results posted online, and a pour of wine. Minors may register at a discounted rate but will not receive the wine glass or a wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground; children in strollers can participate free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed on site.
The event offers age group awards for the top three finishers in each 10-year category: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 & over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for awards; awards must be picked up on race day. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is available, with packet shipping for an additional charge. Free race photos will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
