The Lu Mil Wine Run is a 5k event at Lu Mil Vineyard, 438 Suggs-Taylor Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337, held on March 14, 2026. The event is open to ages 1 to 99 and is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Proceeds benefit the 2026 Dublin Peanut Festival.
Event details
The course is an all dirt terrain road path around the winery and vines, with rolling hills, inclines and several turns. Registration includes a T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that also serves as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour.
Age group awards are offered in 10-year categories through 80 and over; the top three finishers in each age group receive a custom award. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are available for pickup at the registration table the day of the event, beginning one hour after the first wave.
Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; dogs are not permitted. A virtual participation option is available, with packet pickup or packet shipment for an additional fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
