Lu Mil Wine Run 5k
The Lu Mil Wine Run is a chip timed 5k run/walk held at Lu Mil Vineyard in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but do not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine.
The course follows dirt terrain road paths around the winery and the vines. Runners will encounter rolling hills, inclines, and several turns; directional arrow signs mark the route. Packet pickup is Race Day only.
Top three finishers in each age category will receive custom age group awards. Age groups are divided in 10 year increments: 19 and under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and 80 and over. Competitive runners must start with the first group to be eligible for an age group award. Results are posted online at J3Timing.com. Age group medals are available for pickup on the day of the event and will not be shipped.
Additional notes from the organizer: walking is permitted, strollers are allowed but not recommended because of uneven ground, children in strollers may participate without registering, and dogs are not allowed on site due to USDA rules for produce and vegetable farms.
