Event overview
The Lu Mil Wine Run 5k takes place on March 14, 2026 at Lu Mil Vineyard, 438 Suggs-Taylor Rd, Elizabethtown, NC 28337. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk scored by J3 Timing. Proceeds from the race will benefit the 2026 Dublin Peanut Festival. The event is open to ages 1–99.
Race format and logistics
The course is an all-dirt terrain road path with rolling hills, inclines and several turns as it loops around the winery and the vines. Results will be posted online at J3Timing.com. Registration includes a T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib and a pour of wine; minors do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. Free race photos will be available for download.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10-year category (19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 & over). To be eligible for age group awards, competitive runners must start with the first wave; awards must be picked up on race day and will not be shipped. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not permitted on site. A virtual participation option is available, with packet pickup or packet shipment for an additional fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
