LT Scott Pavlick Heart Strong 5K and Festival : MacArthur Park, Binghamton (June 7, 2026)
This event combines a road race and a community festival at MacArthur Park, 1079 Vestal Ave, Binghamton, NY 13903. The main running event is a 5K (3.1 mile) USATF-certified course that starts and finishes in MacArthur Park and loops through Binghamton's Southwest side. A separate 5K entry is reserved for participants 17 and under. Discounted registration pricing applies to young runners 17 and under. Strollers are permitted for walkers who begin at the back of the pack. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
The 5K offers cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers and for the top three masters male and female finishers age 40 and over (1st $75, 2nd $50, 3rd $25). Non-cash prizes and Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards are awarded to the top three finishers in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over (1st $30, 2nd $20, 3rd $10). Registration for the main 5K opens April 7, 2026 and closes May 28, 2026; the youth-only 5K registration opens April 26, 2026 and closes May 28, 2026. Fees listed for race entries reflect the posted amounts.
The festival schedule includes a 16-team All-American Kickball Classic played on three fields at MacArthur Park with double elimination play, a 10-player team minimum, and ten team shirts included with registration. Concessions, a basket raffle, and a free Kids Fun Zone are part of the festival. The Kids Fun Zone is free of charge, does not require pre-registration, and features bouncy houses, a dunk tank, games, and face painting.
