Event details
The LSUS Dental Dash is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana at 1 University Place (ZIP 71115). The event includes the following race options:
- 5K
- Collegiate Students ONLY 5K
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $30 for the collegiate-only 5K. Registration closes on February 28, 2026. Registrants who register by January 31, 2026 are guaranteed a T-shirt.
Purpose, logistics and awards
Proceeds from the event will be used to provide free dental cleanings for LSUS students and to promote oral health awareness and access to preventive oral healthcare resources. The event is hosted by the LSUS pRe-Dental Society and Miles for Smiles D.E.P.O.T.
Packet pickup is available at Run Wild next to Silver Star Grill on Ellerbe Road on February 26, February 27, and on race day at the race site. Participants are automatically entered into a post-race drawing held before awards. Awards are presented by age and gender categories: Age 12 and under (1st–3rd), 13 and up Female (1st–3rd), and 13 and up Male (1st–3rd).
