Event overview
LSD - Last Standing Distance is a Backyard Ultra event organised by Heart & Soul Racing at West Benridge Farm, Morpeth NE61 3RZ. Competitors run a 4.167-mile (6.7 km) loop each hour, on the hour, and the event continues until only one runner completes an extra loop and is declared the Last Standing. All other competitors are recorded as DNF. The event follows official Backyard Ultra rules and is part of the Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship Association. Entrants must be aged 16 or over on the event date.
Course and facilities
The route runs over farmland, scenic trails, and ancient woodland. The course is fully marked and described as flat and fast, with around 200 ft of ascent and descent per loop. Each loop returns to the main HQ field where food vendors, first aid, toilets, parking, and a personal camp area are available. Athlete camping on the main field is included (1 x 3x3 m gazebo or tent per runner). Overflow spectator camping is available at a stated fee. Well-behaved pets are allowed and closed fire pits are permitted only in the overflow field. The event includes a live stream and free professional photography.
Prizes, entries and rules
The Last Standing receives £500 in Start Fitness vouchers; other participants receive a finisher item. Entry prices and categories are listed with a range of fees.
