Event Overview
The Lowell Labor Day Weekend 5K is a running and walking event covering 3.1 miles. It takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The event supports the Tri-Creek Education Foundation.
Location and Logistics
The race starts and is held at 195 West Oakley Avenue in Lowell, Indiana. Ample parking and facilities are available on site.
Registration and Fees
Online registration opens in June 2026. Early registration from June through August 14 costs $25 for adults (15 years and older), increasing to $30 after that date. Youth (14 years and under) registration is always $10. A $2 discount is available for Calumet Region Striders members. T-shirts are available for an additional fee if ordered by August 14, 2026. There are no refunds for this event.
Awards
Awards and door prizes are presented immediately after the race. Winners must be present to receive them. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers, top male and female masters, and the top three finishers in numerous age divisions, including Athena and Clydesdale categories.
Additional Activity
Participants are encouraged to bring and donate their used running and walking shoes at the Calumet Region Striders on-site tent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
