2026 Lovers 5k, 10k, & Half
This event offers three distance options and takes place at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, VA. Points from the races count toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance, Back of the Pack, and Winter series.
Distances:
- 5k out-and-back on park trails.
- 10k single out-and-back on park trails.
- Half marathon out-and-back route run twice.
The course follows maintained trails that are fairly flat but include exposed roots. Water stations are provided along each course; the half marathon has multiple stations placed at regular intervals. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restroom facilities are located near the far end of the parking lot from Shelter A. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the event at Road Runner Sports in Falls Church and also on race day.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Shirt color choices follow a stoplight-style system and color requests must be placed before February 4 to be guaranteed. A virtual race option is offered for those who cannot attend in person. The event partners with the Organization for Autism Research. Live results are posted online during the event and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
