Loveland Frogman Race

The Loveland Frogman Race is a multi-sport triathlon event. It takes place over two days in late August. The event will be the 12th annual edition in 2026. The race consists of three segments: a 5-mile kayak, an 8-mile bike ride, and a 5K run.

Participants can enter as individuals or as two-person teams. The minimum age to compete on a team is 10 years old, while the minimum age for individual competitors is 16 years old.

All events begin and end at Loveland Canoe & Kayak on Karl Brown Way. Participants are bused to the kayak start line. Kayaks, life jackets, and paddles are provided. Participants must provide their own bicycle. Safety rules require life jackets on the water, helmets on the bike, and prohibit headphones during the race.

There are four race divisions: Team, Parent/Child Team, Male, and Female. All participants must pick up their race packets on the Friday before the event in Downtown Loveland; there is no packet pickup on race day. A photo ID and signed waiver are required to collect the packet.

The event is held rain or shine, with no refunds. The course may be altered for severe weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
