Love of the Horse Ocala 5K
The 7th Annual Love of the Horse Ocala is a 5K road and grass race held at the Florida Horse Park, 11008 South Hwy 475, Ocala, FL 34480. The event benefits the Foundation for the Horse, an organization that supports horse welfare through education, research, and outreach and seeks a world in which every horse has a healthy and productive life.
The event offers both in-person and virtual registration. Virtual participants may run a 5K on their own course and upload a verified time to Its Your Race by January 31, 2027; packets with race shirts and medals can be mailed after race day if optional shipping is selected for $10.
Packet pickup is available at Juniper General Store (6998 US-27 Suite 112, Ocala, FL 34482) on the day before the race and at the Florida Horse Park on race day. A pre-race warm up will be offered by an instructor from Club Pilates at the venue.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall and masters, and to the top three finishers in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 70 and over. Awards are based on gun time and will not be mailed; they may be picked up during regular business hours. The first 200 finishers will receive a new medal design. The event will also be featured on The Horse Talk Show. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
