Love in Action 5K Run/Walk
Love in Action 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 10, 2026 at Venetian Shores Park in Lindenhurst, NY. The event program includes a 5K run/walk and a kids fun run. It benefits the McGarry "Love in Action" Foundation, which raises funds and awareness to support young adults aging out of foster care and families facing cancer. Registration for the 5K is offered with fees that vary by registration date; a base registration line shows a $25.00 entry with processing fees reflected in published totals. Shirts are available for purchase until September 11 and personalized bibs are provided to participants who register at least three weeks before the event. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Event amenities listed for participants include bagels, water, coffee, snacks, live online and text results, free finish line photos, and an after party at Sand City South where drafts are available for participants and volunteers. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in five year age groups from 14 and under through 70 and over.
