Lourenco Memorial Run
The Lourenco Memorial Run is a memorial running event organized by the Pitman Cross Country and AG department in Turlock, California. The event offers two course options and is intended as a time for remembrance and reflection following a December 2024 car accident that killed four members of the Lourenco family and left one surviving with a long recovery. The organizers state the main goal is to participate and celebrate the family’s impact, with raising funds for a support fund for grieving families as an additional objective.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 2 mile
The event location is 2525 W Christoffersen Pkwy, Turlock, CA 95382. Registration opens on October 15, 2026 at 16:00 and closes on February 6, 2027 at 00:00. Standard registration fee is $30, and there are options to participate at no cost. Participants may choose a personalized lawn sign to be placed along the route for an additional $15; sign requests are handled during registration via a form. The run is described as a community remembrance and a way to honor other lives lost as well as the Lourenco family. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
