Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k : Farmerville, LA
The Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k takes place in Farmerville, Louisiana on July 25, 2026. The course features a fast first mile that descends, followed by a steeper section near mile two that the organizers refer to as Watermelon Mountain. The event finishes with slices of locally grown Louisiana watermelon provided for finishers.
Proceeds from the race will go to Willpower Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit made up of volunteers in Northeast Louisiana that host events to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Race entry includes this year’s race t shirt when registered online by July 14, 2026. The listed entry price is $35 and race day registration is listed at $40.
Race day registration takes place in the parking lot in front of the Farmerville First Baptist Church at 403 N. Main St., Farmerville, LA 71241. Roller blades and skates are prohibited on the racecourse.
Awards are given separately for male and female divisions. Categories include 1st Overall, 1st Overall Masters, and first through third place within the following age groups: 0–9, 10–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, and 70 and over.
