Event Overview

The Louisiana Engineering Society Pi-K Run is a 3.14 km (Pi-K) race starting and finishing at Madison Hall on 131 Rex Street in Lafayette. The event is organized by the Louisiana Engineering Society.

Course Description

The route begins at Madison Hall, proceeds along sidewalks on Rex Street and E Lewis Street to Girard Park. Participants run one lap around a track in the park before returning along the same path to the finish at Madison Hall. Zydeco music is planned at the finish line.

Registration and Fees

Registration fees are structured by category:

  • $10 for University of Louisiana at Lafayette students.
  • $15 for general participants, faculty, and staff.
  • $5 for participants aged 1-14.

A separate $10 fee applies for event T-shirts, which are guaranteed for registrations completed before March 1.

Logistics

Packet pickup is scheduled for March 14 at 9:00 AM at 131 Rex Street. The event uses chip timing. Participants are advised to park in Zone 11 at the corner of E. Lewis and Rex Street, noting that access will be blocked once the race begins.

Awards and Teams

Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall for male and female participants. Additional awards are given to the first student in each College of Engineering department and the first-place faculty/staff member from the College of Engineering.
