Location and Course
The event takes place at DeWeese Park in Dayton, Ohio. The 5k course is flat and uses paved recreation paths. It loops through three parks: DeWeese Park, Triangle Park, and Island MetroPark, running along the banks of the Stillwater and Great Miami Rivers.
Registration and Fees
Pre-registration is handled via RunSignup. Race day registration is available online until approximately 15 minutes before the start, with hard copy sheets also available. Participants are advised to arrive at least one hour before the start.
The fee structure is as follows:
- Free for current Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC) members (requires proof).
- $10 for non-members aged 15 and up.
- Free for participants aged 14 and under.
Event Details
The event is presented by the all-volunteer Ohio River Road Runners Club. It is described as one of their "small races." It offers chip timing managed by volunteer timers, post-race refreshments, and awards. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as first-place male and female winners in standard age groups from 18 & under to 70+.
