Lostine River Run/Walk
The Lostine River Run/Walk is a point-to-point running event held in Lostine, Oregon, organized by the Rotary Club of Wallowa County. The event offers multiple distances and donates proceeds to Rotary Youth programs and Memorial Scholarship Funds. Registration may be completed without creating an UltraSignup account, and registration closes Sun, Jul 5 at 11:59PM PT.
The course follows the Lostine River and is mostly on pavement while retaining a trail-like feel due to the natural surroundings. The route is mostly downhill with gentle rolling hills in the first half and a small hill near the end. Participants are transported by bus to the start. The event is dog and stroller friendly. Timing is done with a chip on the back of the race bib; the bib should be worn on the chest and the chip should not be removed. Awards include prizes for top male, female, Masters and overall in the 5K and 10K, with ribbons for the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups span from under 13 through 70 and up. Entry fees differ by distance and by day of registration.
