Event Information
The Hurricane Creek Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Joseph, Oregon. The event includes multiple distances: a Half Marathon, a 5 Mile run, a 5k, and a 1 Mile Hurricane Hustle Kids Run.

Registration fees vary by distance and date. Early bird pricing is available through December 31. Day-of-race registration is available at a higher price, and shirts are not included with day-of registration for the half marathon. The kids' run is free.
Course Details
The Half Marathon is an out-and-back course. It starts at Joseph City Park at 4,200 ft elevation and climbs to 5,100 ft. The route includes paved and maintained dirt road surfaces. There are views of the Wallowa Mountains, Eagle Cap Wilderness, Seven Devils, and High Valleys. Aid stations are provided.
The 5 Mile and 5k courses are out-and-back road runs that cover the first sections of the half marathon route.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on Friday, May 22, at Quickhatch in Joseph, or on race day at Joseph City Park. The event is organized by Runners of the Sage, which operates under a permit from the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. A portion of the proceeds helps raise funds for the Wallowa Land Trust.
Awards are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers in the Half Marathon, 5 Mile, and 5k races. All participants receive a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
