About the race
The Lost Soul Ultra is a trail ultramarathon held in Lethbridge, Alberta on Sept 11-12, 2026, the weekend following Labour Day. The course runs through river valley coulees on a mix of public and private land and the event limits the field to 350 ultra-marathoners.

- 100 km
- 50 km
The 50 km course is a single lap that includes three aid stations and segment lengths varying from 7 to 16 km. Elevation gain or loss for the 50 km lap is approximately 1,100 metres, with 16 significant hills. The river valley terrain is noted for deep coulees that contrast with the surrounding prairie.
Reported top finish times for the distances are just over 4 hours for the 50 km, about 10 hours for the 100 km, and about 19 hours for the 100 mile event. Racers and pacers must be at least 18 years of age.
The event is a recognized qualifier for the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run. The 100 km qualifying time is under 21 hours, and the 100 mile qualifying time is 33 hours. Runners registered for the 100 mile distance may not drop down to the 100 km during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
