Event

The Lost Soul Ultra takes place in the Oldman River valley of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada on September 11-12, 2026. The course runs near a historic battle site and is on lands of the Blackfoot people, shared with the Cree and Metis. One lap is 50 km with approximately 1,100 m (3,600 ft) of elevation change. Most hills are about 50-80 m (150-250 ft) in size, and a lap includes about 14 such hills. Finishers receive a large etched rock. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age on race day.

Distances

  • 100 mile - 3 laps plus an extra 9 km loop, 33-hour cutoff, WSER qualifier.
  • 100 km - 2 laps (102 km), 21-hour cutoff, WSER qualifier.
  • 50 km - 1 lap, 11-hour cutoff.

Entry and refunds

Registration closes September 5, 2026. The event offers partial credit for next year based on when a dropout is requested: Nov 1 to Feb 27 - 100% credit; Mar 1 - 90%; Apr 1 - 80%; May 1 - 70%; June 1 - 60%; July 1 - 50%; Aug 1 - 30%; Aug 11 to Sep 9 - $50 credit. No bib transfers are allowed, but a partial credit may be moved to another person once. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
