Ladiesfest 8 km : event description
Ladiesfest is a women-only event established in 2000 that offers an 8 km run/walk to bring together women of different ages for fitness, wellness, and community. Participants may walk, jog, or run the 8 km course.
The start and finish are at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge. The course goes into the river valley and returns to the Lodge where a buffet breakfast will be served in the ballroom in conjunction with the awards ceremony. There is a 1 hour 45 minute cutoff for the event. Strollers are permitted but note there are several steps on the final stretch of a shale pathway coming off Whoop up behind the Galt Museum.
Race package pick-up is scheduled for Friday June 12 from 12:00 to 17:30 at Runners Soul. Registration fees are listed as 42.00 CAD for ages 16 and over and 36.50 CAD for ages 15 and under, online fees included. Optional ladies shirts are available for an additional fee with higher prices for 2XL and 3XL; the deadline to order shirts is May 24 at 23:59. Extra buffet breakfast tickets cost 20.00 CAD. The event is limited to 500 participants and refunds are not available because proceeds support the cause.
All proceeds from the 2026 Ladiesfest 8K will be donated to Womanspace. Awards include top three overall, top three in each age group, and first place team in the Mother-Daughter, Sister-Sister, and Sisterhood divisions. Teams require two or more members and team times are averaged from individual posted times. Results will be provided by Sprintline Timing. A six week training clinic from Zephyrs Coaching runs May 5 to June 9 at the Civic Centre track for a fee of 45.00 CAD. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
