Ladiesfest 8K

Ladiesfest 8K is a women only run and walk established in 2000 that brings women of all ages together for fitness, wellness, and community. The event is a single 8 km course that allows participants to walk, jog, or run.

All proceeds from the 2026 Ladiesfest 8K will be donated to Womanspace, a resource centre serving women in Lethbridge and the surrounding area for about 30 years. The course begins and finishes at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge and goes down into the river valley before returning to the lodge. Participants receive a buffet breakfast in the lodge ballroom while the awards ceremony takes place.

Registration details for 2026 include a fee of $42.00 for participants 16 and over and $36.50 for those 15 and under; online fees are included. Optional polyester shirts sized for women are available for an extra $16.50 (2XL $18.50, 3XL $19.50) with a shirt order deadline of May 24 at 11:59 pm. Extra buffet breakfast tickets cost $20.00. The event is limited to 500 participants and refunds are not available because it is a fundraising event.

Additional notes: a 1 hour 45 minute course cutoff applies, strollers should note there are steps on the final stretch of a shale pathway off Whoop up behind the Galt Museum, and race package pick-up is scheduled for the day before the event at Runners Soul. Awards are given to the top three overall, top three in each age group, and first place teams in Mother-Daughter, Sister-Sister, and Sisterhood divisions.
