Event overview
The Lory Summer Trail Series is a set of shorter, midweek trail races held at Lory State Park, Eltuck Picnic Area, in Fort Collins, Colorado during August 2026. The organizer describes the series as low-key trail races intended to give newer trail runners an opportunity to try trail racing and to give more experienced trail racers chances to sharpen speed on shorter courses. After each race, pizza and beverages are provided with support from local partners. Awards are given at the end of the series to top points scorers. The event offers non-binary registration and results options; for awards, non-binary runners are eligible in their birth gender pool.

Race schedule and logistics
Race dates and courses for August 2026 are: August 5 - Flat and Fast Eltuck Valley 5k (250' elevation gain); August 12 - Into the Hills Eltuck 10k (1,700' elevation gain); August 19 - Into the Hills Eltuck 5k (700' elevation gain); August 26 - Flat and Fast Eltuck Valley 12k (500' elevation gain).
Entry fees vary by date: early pricing through June 30 is $25 per race or $80 for the series; from July 1 the price is $30 per race or $100 for the series. Ages 17 and under are $10 per race. There is no on-course aid. Two permanent toilets are at the start/finish and additional park restrooms are located along each course. Parking is at the Eltuck Picnic Area until filled, then at nearby Spur Road. Transfers of credit (75%) are allowed up to 72 hours before a race; entries are otherwise non-refundable.
