Loopy Looper - Cooper River Park
Loopy Looper is an ultra running event held August 1–2, 2026 at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The event offers multiple formats: 12 hour and 24 hour solo races, 12 hour and 24 hour 4-person relays, a 101.25 mile 100 mile option with a hard 30 hour cutoff, and a Glow Up Night Loop.
The course is a 3.75 mile paved loop around the park, mostly flat, with about 100 meters of rubber track and views of the Philadelphia skyline and the lake. For the 100 mile option runners must complete 27 full laps to be counted as finishers; partial laps are not counted in any format.
At the stadium start and finish area there is a designated pit area for crews and personal gear. No tents larger than 10 by 10 are allowed, tent stakes are prohibited, and alcohol is not permitted on site. Aid is provided at the start finish and at a midpoint hydration station; the race operates as a cupless event so runners should bring a reusable vessel. The aid stations will include options such as Tailwind and Pickle Juice Sport and the organizer provides many vegan choices.
Race rules cover pacers, relay procedures, overnight gear requirements including a headlamp and a visible safety light, and a last lap exception for relay teams. Swag and awards vary by event and include finishers items, charms based on loops completed, and a buckle for 100 mile finishers. The organizer does not offer refunds or transfers, with limited deferral policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
