Format and facilities

The race uses the backyard ultra format: runners complete a 4.167-mile (6.7 km) loop every hour and must start each loop precisely on the hour or they are out. The event continues until a single runner remains. There is a paired entry option in which two runners share the same course by alternating loops; only one of the pair may be on the course at any time, and if one cannot continue both are recorded as DNF. A separate 7 Hour Max option uses the same route and format but is capped at seven hours and runs through daytime only.
