Loop the Lake at Eldridge Park
Loop the Lake is a running and walking event held at Eldridge Park in Elmira, New York. The event utilizes a one-mile course that circles the perimeter of Eldridge Lake. Participants have the option to compete in several distinct formats based on distance or time.
The race categories include:
- 1 Mile Race: A single lap around the lake loop for runners and walkers.
- 2 Hour Timed Event: A challenge to complete as many laps as possible within a two-hour period.
- 1K Kids Fun Run: A shorter course around the lake loop for children aged 12 and under.
- Double the Fun: An option to participate in both the one-mile race and the two-hour timed event.
Participants in the one-mile and two-hour categories receive a custom singlet, while those in the two-hour event also receive a finisher medal. Children in the 1K run receive a custom t-shirt. Awards are provided for the top male and female finishers overall, as well as winners in specific age brackets ranging from under 20 to 61 and over. For the kids' race, awards are given to the top boy and girl overall and within age groups from under 5 to 12.
