Loop Out the Year is an endurance running event on December 27, 2025, at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA. Participants choose a timed event of:
- 3 hours
- 6 hours
- 8 hours
Registration closes on December 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM PT. Handmade finisher awards are given to all finishers. Special awards are given to the top three in each category: male, female, and non-binary.
Course and support
All distances use a 5K loop on the park trail system with start and finish at Shelter 1. Runners complete as many loops as they can within their chosen time. After each loop, a volunteer records the lap at the official aid station before the runner continues.
The course passes the nearby parking lot. Participants may use their vehicles as personal aid stations, but they must still check in at the official aid station after each loop for lap counting. The event aid station provides water, several electrolyte blends, light common food, warm beverages during the run, and soup at the finish. Limited gluten-free and vegan options are available; runners with special food needs are advised to bring their own. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
