Loop Out the Year
Loop Out the Year is a timed endurance run held at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA and organized by Trail Therapy Running. The event offers multiple timed options on a looped trail course with laps counted at the start/finish aid station.
Participants choose from these time events
- 8 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours
The course is a 5 mile loop with about 520 feet of climb, and all distances start and finish at the barn near the dog park parking lot. Runners complete as many loops as they can within their chosen time. After each loop participants check in with a volunteer at the official aid station so their lap is recorded before continuing.
The official aid station provides water, several electrolyte blends, light common food, warm beverages during the run, and soup at the finish. Limited gluten free and vegan options will be available. Participants may use their vehicles as personal aid stations in the nearby parking lot but must still check in at the official aid station after each loop to ensure laps are counted. Handmade finisher awards are given to all finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
