Looe Summer Run
The Looe Summer Run is a multi-terrain road and trail event based at the Millpool Centre in West Looe, Cornwall. The route is described as a 5.75 mile course that follows the West Looe riverside, passes through Kilminorth Woods along the upper bridle path to Trelawne Woods, then descends toward the Looe Estuary and returns along the lower woodland path and riverside to the finish. The course has not been professionally measured.
Entries open and close on specific dates and the minimum age is 14 on the event date. The published entry fee is £12.50. On-the-day entries may be allowed at the organiser's discretion. Road closure has been applied for the start and finish.
Facilities and prizes: there will be no changing facilities or bag drop. Parking is at the Millpool car park adjacent to the Millpool Centre where race number collection and the start line are located. A memento is provided to all finishers. Prizes are awarded to first male and first female overall, and to the first local male and female. There are no age-category prizes. A perpetual cup is awarded to the first club to have its first four runners across the finish. All profits are stated for Looe Lions local charities.
