Longworth 10k 2026

The Longworth 10k is a community road and trail race held in Longworth, Oxfordshire (OX13 5DU). The event covers a 10 km multi-terrain route that passes through rolling countryside and along the River Thames. The course begins on a gravel track at the east end of the village, follows a ridge down to the river, continues on grass and dirt along the Thames Path, then returns on gravel and concrete farm tracks including a climb known locally as the "yellow brick road" before finishing outside Longworth Manor.

Facilities include parking, changing rooms, toilets and a bag drop. The course is marked each kilometre and has water stations at about 3 km, 8 km and at the finish. The route is uneven and may be slippery in wet conditions, and it is not suitable for baby strollers. Dogs are not permitted on the course.

There is a separate kids' fun run and a prize called the Cow & Calf Cup for the fastest 10k runner who also completed the fun run with their child or children. All runners receive free locally made artisan ice cream at the finish. Entry is limited to 200 participants. Entry categories are adult (18 and over) and junior (15 to 17); the minimum age to enter is 15 years. Entries close 18/09/2026. The event is organised by Longworth Runners.
