Longleat 10k
The Longleat 10k is a running event on the Longleat estate near Warminster, Wiltshire (BA12 7JS). The main race covers 10 km on the estate’s private, traffic-free roads, with a short 400 m section on public highway past the Bath Arms public house before the final mile downhill into Longleat House and the finish. The route is described as undulating to hilly and includes a significant climb that is tackled twice, once soon after the start and again late in the race. The final section runs down Lodge Drive toward Longleat House.
Entries for the 10K are limited to 1600 runners. The published entry price for the 10K is £28. On race day runners and spectators are not charged to enter the Longleat estate; organisers advise following brown tourist signposts rather than relying solely on sat nav. The organiser has provided a what3words location for the Longleat entrance gate as ///inefficient.outlast.narrate.
Participant feedback from past editions frequently notes steep hills and scenic views, a congested first mile when shorter fun runs and the 10K start together, and traffic delays for arriving and leaving the venue. Several reports also mention limited toilet provision and sparse post-finish refreshments at times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
