Longhorn Stampede 5K
The 10th Annual Longhorn Stampede is a community 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026, hosted at Leigh High School in San Jose, California. The event is organized by Leigh booster groups including the Home & School Club, Performing Arts Parent Association, Sports Boosters, and Spirit Boosters. Proceeds benefit programs for all Leigh students.
The course is flat and USATF-certified. It begins on Los Gatos Almaden Road, runs east parallel to the school, winds through surrounding Cambrian neighborhoods, and returns to campus for the final half mile. Event features include a family registration discount for up to five members; a Longhorn Stampede t-shirt (size guaranteed for registrations by May 2); race bib and professional timing; finisher medals; on-course support from Leigh cheerleaders and the school band; prizes for top age-group finishers; a costume contest; complimentary participant photos; and post-race festivities.
