Long Island Marathon Festival
The Jovia Financial Credit Union Long Island Marathon Weekend is held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY. The main live race weekend runs April 30 to May 2, 2027. Virtual event options and related registrations extend through May 30, 2027.
Distances and event formats include:
- 26.2 miles Marathon
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 10K road race
- 5K family fun and competitive race
- 1K kids fun run
- Virtual events from 1K up to 35.5 miles
- 35.5 mile and 22.4 mile multi-race challenges
Many live events award finisher medals. Virtual participants receive event swag mailed after the live race. The two multi-race challenges combine the Friday 5K, Saturday 10K, and either the Sunday marathon or half marathon; challenge entrants receive the individual race shirts and medals plus a challenge shirt and finishers medal.
The marathon enforces a 15-minute per mile pace requirement and a mid-race cutoff: athletes must pass mile 13 (13.1 in challenge entry) before 10:50 a.m. Those who do not meet the cutoff will be removed from course circulation and transported back to the start. Permit and police support require this time cutoff.
Race rules vary by event. The Friday Night Lights 5K is a night race and requires headlamps; that 5K allows strollers but offers no age-group awards for athletes with strollers. Several other live races prohibit baby joggers and pets. Awards for the Friday 5K include top three overall and five year age groups.
