Long Island Marathon Festival

The Long Island Marathon Festival is a multi-day competitive running event held in East Meadow, New York. The festival takes place over a weekend in early May, with activities centered around Eisenhower Park. The event is produced by RaceAwesome and features various distances and multi-event challenges.

The schedule is organized by day, with specialized runs occurring on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

  • Marathon: A 26.2 mile race.
  • Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile race.
  • 10K Run: A 10 km run through the park.
  • Friday Night Lights 5K: A 5 km evening run.
  • 1K Just For Kids: A 1 km run for younger participants.

For participants seeking multiple races, the festival offers two specific challenges. The 35.5 Mile Challenge combines the 5K, 10K, and Marathon. The 22.4 Mile Challenge includes the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. Virtual versions of all individual distances and challenges are also available, allowing runners to participate on their own schedule.

The event site includes various amenities such as a health and fitness expo with vendors, food trucks, and a bag check service. Awards are presented for the competitive races, and spectators can utilize a dedicated guide for viewing the events throughout the park and surrounding areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
