Long Branch 5K Fun Run & Walk
The Long Branch 5K Fun Run & Walk is a community event held at Long Branch Garland Park in Silver Spring, Maryland on November 8, 2026. The event includes an in-person 5K and a Virtual 5K. Proceeds support Long Branch Main Street, the Long Branch Business League, and the annual Long Branch Festival.
Event highlights include an updated course route that runs along Kennebec Ave instead of Houston Ave, and a new start location at Clayborn Ave due to construction at Garland Park and the adjacent Long Branch Trail. A new Masters division accepts participants age 50 and over. The largest registered team will win a gift card awarded at the post-race Victory Brunch.

- Virtual 5K: registration opens August 1, 2026 and closes November 8, 2026; fee $40.00.
