Long Branch 5K
The Long Branch 5K is a family-oriented community running event in Long Branch, Silver Spring. It offers two participation options: an in-person 5K Fun Run and a Virtual 5K. The course distance for both options is 3.1 Miles.
Registration details differ by option. The in-person 5K has a registration fee of $25.00 with registration opening September 1, 2026 and closing September 29, 2026. The Virtual 5K has a registration fee of $35.00 with registration opening August 11, 2026 and closing November 1, 2026.
The in-person event location is Long Branch Garland Park at 8601 Garland Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20901. Limited parking is available at the Long Branch Community Center, 8700 Piney Branch Rd. Because parking is limited, participants are encouraged to walk, cycle, or use local bus service that serves Piney Branch in front of the community center.
