Long Beach Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day 5 Mile Race
The event takes place on September 7, 2026 in Long Beach, NY, at the boardwalk near Laurelton Boulevard. It is presented as the annual Robert C. McAvoy Labor Day five mile race and is organized as an in-person community running event.
The course is an accurately measured five (5) mile route described as flat and fast. The course is USATF certified and the start and finish are located on Laurelton Boulevard and the boardwalk. Baby strollers are not permitted on the race course.

Awards include top overall male and female, top wheelchair participant, and top three male and female finishers in standard age categories from 14 and under through 80 plus. Registration requires agreement to nonrefundable fees and a liability release, and grants permission for use of event photographs and recordings.
