Lonely Mountain Ultra

Lonely Mountain Ultra, now in its fourth year, takes place on Gaanha-bula Mount Canobolas near Orange, NSW. The event offers a range of trail distances: 11K, 22K, 32K, and ultra options of 50K, 50M, 104K, and a new 100M, plus kids’ 2K and 4K. Runners traverse the Canobolas State Forest on varied terrain—from fire trails and woodlands to open pasture—climbing to about 1,400 metres with sweeping views of the NSW Central West.

A key feature is that LMU is a qualifying race for the Six Foot Track Marathon, with distance-based qualifying times. The event attracts many participants and celebrates rugged Canobolas scenery and endurance challenges. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
