Locust Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk

This event is the 7th annual Locust Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk. It takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Locust Town Center in Locust, North Carolina.

The course is described as "fast & flat-ish" and goes through the Locust Town Center and surrounding neighborhood. The event is chip-timed by Clockwork Timing. Participants are encouraged to wear green or St. Patrick's Day attire, with prizes for the best-dressed leprechaun.

Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at the West Stanly Center (213 Town Center Dr.) in the Locust Town Center. The first 100 registrants receive a pair of St. Patrick's Day socks. Post-race snacks or sweets are provided by Sassy Cake (or Sassy Cakes).

Age group awards are given in 10-year increments. The event proceeds benefit the Stanly County YMCA's West Stanly Senior Center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
