Locust Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk : 7th Annual

The event takes place on March 15, 2026 in Locust, North Carolina at Locust Town Center, 111 Ray Kennedy Dr., Locust, NC 28097. The event is a 5K run/walk.

Race format and features

The course is described as fast and flat-ish through Locust Town Center and the surrounding neighborhood. The race is chip timed by Clockwork Racing. The course will be marked, a lead cyclist will guide the field, and communication staff will be available on the course. Finish line snacks will be provided by Sassy Cakes, and the finish line is about 600 feet from The Brew Room. The event includes 10-year age group awards, door prizes, and prizes for best-dressed Leprechaun. The first 100 registrants will receive a pair of St. Patrick's Day socks in their race packet. Packet pick-up details will be provided later. Proceeds benefit the Stanly County YMCA's West Stanly Senior Center.
