Locust Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk
The Locust Lucky Leprechaun 5K Run/Walk takes place on March 15, 2026 at Locust Town Center in Locust, North Carolina. The event is a 5K run and walk that follows a fast, mostly flat course through the Locust Town Center and adjacent neighborhood. The course will be marked and staffed with on-course communication support, and a lead bike will guide participants.
The race is chip timed by Clockwork Timing and organizers are working on an updated certified race course. The event follows a green Saint Patrick theme with shamrock race bibs, prizes for best dressed leprechaun, and post race sweets provided by Sassy Cakes. The first 100 registrants will receive a pair of St. Patrick's Day socks in their race packet. Awards are offered in 10-year age groups, and the event includes volunteers and door prizes.
