About the race

The LMCU Bridge Run is a weekend road running event in Grand Rapids on September 19–20, 2026, centered on the west side of the historic 6th Street Bridge at 731 Front Ave NW. Routes run through downtown Grand Rapids and cross several historic bridges; the 10 Mile route also goes out to Riverside Park. The courses are described as relatively flat and are friendly for strollers.

Distances and formats include:

  • 10 Mile
  • 5K (3.1 Miles)
  • Virtual 10 Mile
  • Virtual 5K
  • Kids Dash: 200 m and 400 m

The Kids Dash takes place at LMCU Ballpark and offers a 200‑meter and a 400‑meter option; youth participants receive an LMCU goodie bag. Virtual options are available for the 10 Mile and the 5K for participants who cannot attend in person.

On-course support and event services include aid stations with water and Gatorade, GU energy packets on the 10 Mile course, multiple spirit stations and bands, and pacers for the 10 Mile covering a range of target paces. Awards include age group prizes and cash prizes for top finishers and overall masters in both the 5K and 10 Mile. The 10 Mile is part of the Road Runners Club of America National Championship Series and the Michigan Runner Race Series in 2026.

Bib pickup is offered at Gazelle Sports, at LMCU Ballpark, and at the race start/finish area. Volunteer efforts support the event and groups that bring 15 or more volunteers receive a $150 donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
