Llyn y Fan Fell Race

Llyn y Fan is an organised fell race held on Saturday 14 November 2028. The course is listed as AS 8.8 km / 610 m ascent (5.9 miles / 2000 ft) with codes LK/NS/ER. Entry is via Fabian4 with an entry fee of £7 and a £1 discount per person for car sharing when four or more share a car. Entry is limited to 50 competitors. The event HQ and registration are at Llyn Y Fan car park. No toilets are available. The race is open to those over 16.

Course details note a revised start and ascent introduced in 2017, finishing at Llyn Y Fan Fach. The route ascends on the Beacons Way to grassy slopes toward Bannau Sir Gaer, follows the escarpment east over Picws Du, then descends and climbs to Fan Foel. From the cairn competitors head down the north west slope, which is steep at first, and navigate back to the finish. Full kit is required and participants are asked to follow WFRA guidance and race assessment information.
