Llyn y Fan Fell Race
The race takes place on Saturday 14th November 2028 with event HQ and registration at Llyn Y Fan car park. There are no toilet facilities at the HQ.
The course is about 8.8 km with approximately 610 m of ascent (5.9 miles / 2000 ft). The current course uses a new start and ascent to Llyn Y Fan Fach introduced in 2017 and follows the Beacons Way for the main climb. Runners ascend to the grassy slopes toward Bannau Sir Gaer, follow the path along the escarpment east over Picws Du, then descend and climb to Fan Foel before heading down the north west slope to the finish.
Entry is limited to 50 competitors. The entry fee is £7 with a £1 discount per person for car sharing when four or more share a car. Entries are handled via Fabian4. The event is open to those aged over 16. Participants are expected to carry full kit as advised by the organisers.
