The Bertman Run
The Bertman Run is an annual community running event in Folsom, California with multiple distance options and a charitable focus supporting Blood Cancer United via Team In Training. The route uses the American River Bike Trail and starts at the Historic Folsom Station North Park and Ride.
The course is an out-and-back on the bike trail and remains open to other parkway users; runners and walkers should stay to the left. Aid stations are located at the 10K turnaround and at the Half Marathon turnaround. There is no aid station on the 5K course. There is no official bathroom at the race start; public restrooms are available in nearby Old Folsom businesses and on the bike trail, though lines may occur.
Packet and bib pick-up is day-of only at the Park and Ride lot. Official timing chips are not used; finish times will be logged manually or via app. Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats including donuts, coffee, fruit, water, and sports drink are provided at check-in. Medals are awarded to all participants. Fleet Feet gift card awards are given to the first male and first female in each distance. Uncollected medals, awards, or shirts will not be mailed out.
Partners on site include a vendor distributing free drinks. No refunds; proceeds first cover event expenses and net proceeds are donated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
