Event details
The Bertman Run takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Folsom, California (951-975 Leidesdorff St, Folsom, CA 95630). The event offers the following race options:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Virtual run/walk
The event is a fundraiser; proceeds will be donated to Blood Cancer United in honor of the race director's father.
Course and logistics
The course is an out-and-back route on the American River Trail that starts at the Historic Folsom Station North Park and Ride. The trail remains open to other parkway users; runners and walkers are asked to stay to the left on the bike trail. Aid stations are located at the 10k turnaround and at the half marathon turnaround; there is no aid station for the 5k. There is no official bathroom at the race start, but restrooms are available on the course/on the bike trail.
Packet and bib pick-up is available only on race day at the park and ride lot. There are no official timing chips; finish times will be logged manually. Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats are provided at check-in. Medals are awarded to all participants, and first-place male and female awards are given in each distance. Medals and awards will not be mailed if not collected on race day. Virtual entrants may register and submit photos to the organizers.
