Llanelli 10K & Half Marathon
The Llanelli 10K and Half Marathon are road races that take place in and around Llanelli, combining coastal path running with closed-road sections. Distances offered are:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
For 2026 the half marathon start is located at Trostre on the Tata Steel site. The 10K starts and finishes at Festival Fields, following the route used in the previous year. The course largely follows the Millennium coastal path and includes stretches on closed roads, with mostly flat terrain alongside some undulating sections.
The route overlooks Llanelli Beach and provides views of the Loughor estuary and the Gower peninsula. Roads are closed to traffic for the event to give participants dedicated running space. The event is UKA licensed and supplies Brecon Carreg water on course. Finishers receive a bespoke recycled zinc medal. General entry for the events is listed from £32 plus fees.
The organisers publish route maps and provide live-tracking options for supporters via commonly used smartphone apps and services.
