Trail Half Marathon Wales : Margam Park, South Wales
Trail Half Marathon Wales takes place at Margam Park East gate and runs through woodland trails, open parkland and rolling hills. The course passes through the historic deer park and beneath the Margam country house, with views across the South Wales coastline towards the Gower. Terrain consists mainly of forest paths and woodland trails. The route is fully marked with running arrows and flags.
Two event distances are offered:
- Trail Half Marathon
- Trail 10k Wales
Runners should carry required kit throughout the event, including a bottle or plastic cup for water, a phone with the race HQ number, suitable headwear, and a waterproof top if the forecast is poor. Waterpoints are available: three on the half marathon and two on the 10k. Car parking is at race HQ at the East gate of Margam Park; the car park opens at 07:15 and parking is included in the entry cost.
Entry fees include car parking at the event centre, a finishers medal, free race photographs to download, event safety and first aid cover, electronic timing, checkpoints, a marked route with land permits, and a GPS file of the route. Entry costs shown are £38 for the half marathon and £34 for the 10k. Optional event clothing is available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
