Course Details

The scenic half marathon starts on the promenade opposite Venue Cymru. The route runs along the promenade, goes up and down the Victorian pier, continues to Rhos on Sea, and returns to Venue Cymru along the same route. The course is mostly flat, with the exception of a half-mile hill known as the "Little Orme." A suggested pace for the half marathon is 12-15 minutes per mile, with an approximate finish time of 3 to 3.5 hours. The 10-mile route follows a separate course.

Event Facilities and Information

Race HQ opens at 8:00 AM at Venue Cymru, where participants can collect their race number and timing chip. There is an indoor pre-race warm-up area. Drink stations are located approximately every 3 miles and at the finish. Toilets are available near the start/finish inside Venue Cymru, with portable toilets placed at the halfway point. A professional medical team provides first aid coverage at the start, finish, and on the course.

There is a baggage drop area for small bags. A merchandise tent opens at 8:00 AM, offering race day purchases and online order pick-up (cash and card accepted), and features a sale of old stock from past races (cash only). Official results will be available on the organizer's website later on race day. Professional photos will be available from a third-party website.

Rules and Guidelines

Headphones are not allowed during the race in accordance with UK Athletics rules, with an exception for bone-conducting headphones. Participants are asked not to litter; they should leave bottles and energy gels at water stations or with marshals. Runners seen deliberately discarding rubbish elsewhere risk disqualification. Road closures are partial, so runners must follow marshal instructions and, where directed, run on pavements obeying traffic signals.

Participant Perks

All finishers receive a technical t-shirt and a bespoke medal. Prizes are awarded to the male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall finishers, as well as the 1st place finisher in each age category. A prize presentation is scheduled for approximately 12:15 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
