Llandudno Half Marathon & 10 Mile
The Llandudno Half Marathon and Llandudno 10 mile are seaside road running events held in the coastal town of Llandudno. The 10 mile race serves as a North Wales Athletics Championship race. Both distances are open to participants aged 17 and over.
The course begins on the promenade opposite Venue Cymru and follows the coastline. Runners travel along the promenade, navigate the Victorian pier, and head toward Rhos-on-Sea before returning to the finish at Venue Cymru via the same route. The path is primarily flat, with the main exception being a half-mile climb known as the Little Orme.
Race headquarters are located at Venue Cymru, where participants can collect their race numbers and timing chips. The event provides several facilities, including an indoor pre-race warm-up area, baggage storage, and toilets at the start, finish, and the halfway turning point. Drink stations are positioned approximately every three miles and at the finish line.
Finishers receive a bespoke medal and a technical T-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as the winners of individual age categories. Due to partial road closures, the use of headphones is restricted to bone-conducting types in accordance with UK Athletics rules.
