Llandudno Half Marathon & 10 Mile
The event offers two road races held from Venue Cymru in Llandudno. Distances:
- Half Marathon: promenade out and back via Victorian Pier and Rhos on Sea.
- 10 Mile: promenade route between Venue Cymru and Rhos on Sea.
The course begins on the promenade opposite Venue Cymru and uses an out and back route along the seafront. The route is mostly flat but includes a half mile climb at Little Orme. Race headquarters are inside Venue Cymru where tea, coffee and snacks are available.
Drink stations are provided at about every 3 miles and at the finish; runners who require extra fluid are advised to carry their own water. Toilets are located inside Venue Cymru plus portable toilets on the promenade and at the halfway turning point. First aid cover is provided by a professional medical team with stations at the start, finish and on course; runners should complete the medical history details on the back of their race number.
There is a strict time limit and pacing policy: runners are expected to maintain about a 12 to 15 minute mile pace and may be required to stop or be directed off course if individual mile limits are not met. Headphones are not allowed except bone conducting types under UK Athletics rules. A technical T shirt and bespoke medal are available for finishers.
