Logistics and rules
Race headquarters and number/chip collection are based at Venue Cymru. Drink stations are provided at approximately every 3 miles and at the finish; runners who need extra fluids are advised to bring their own water bottle. Toilets are available inside Venue Cymru and a small number of portable toilets will be placed at the halfway turning point. First aid is provided by a professional medical team with stations at the start, on course and at the finish. All finishers receive a technical T-shirt and a bespoke medal; prizes are awarded for 1st–3rd overall and 1st in each age category. Some roads will have closures but not all; marshals will give course instructions. Headphones are not allowed except bone-conducting types. Runners are asked to dispose of litter only at water stations or to give it to a marshal. Cut-off guidance requests a pace of about 12–15 minutes per mile (approximate half marathon finish 3–3.5 hours); slower runners may be directed to use pavements and follow traffic signals.
