LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration
LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration is a community event hosted by LiveWell, an initiative of the Pruitt Center for Mindfulness & Well-being at UW-Superior. The event is scheduled for August 13, 2026 and will be held at Barker's Island Festival Park, 14 Marina Drive, Superior, Wisconsin.
The event centers on a 5K walk/run/roll that is inclusive of wheeled devices. The roll portion welcomes participants using wheelchairs, strollers, scooters, and similar devices; the use of a helmet is strongly encouraged. Children may participate when accompanied by an adult. The 5K is organized as a fun run and will not be chipped or timed; participants may stop or turn back before completing the full course if needed.
A post-event celebration will follow the activity and includes a picnic-style buffet catered by ChartWells with a designated seating area for dining and socializing. A DJ will provide music and live commentary, and outdoor yard games such as Corn Hole, Badminton, Kubb, and Bocce will be available. The LiveWell initiative aims to promote connection and to support mental wellness in Douglas County and the greater Twin Ports area. Registration closes August 6, 2026, and the event is free and open to the public. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
