LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration
LiveWell 5K Walk/Run/Roll & Celebration is scheduled for August 13, 2026 at Barker's Island Festival Park in Superior, Wisconsin. The event is hosted by LiveWell, an initiative of the Pruitt Center for Mindfulness and Well-being at UW-Superior. LiveWell describes itself as a holistic mental health project that supports residents, workers, and students in Douglas County and the greater Twin Ports area and works to address local mental health needs through activities that foster connection and reduce social isolation.
The event is a community 5K offered at no cost and open to the public. The walk run roll format includes an inclusive roll category for all wheeled devices; a helmet is strongly encouraged as a safety practice. Children may participate if accompanied by an adult. This edition is the third annual 5K and is organized as a fun run; the course will not be chipped or officially timed. Participants may complete the full course or turn around early if needed.
After participants finish the 5K, a post-race celebration will feature a picnic style buffet catered by ChartWells with a designated seating area, a DJ providing music and live commentary, and a selection of outdoor yard games including Corn Hole, Badminton, Kubb, and Bocce. Registration closes August 6, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
