Live Your Dash 5k and Fun Run
The Live Your Dash 5k and Fun Run takes place in downtown Historic Edenton with the start area across from the Chowan Arts Council at 112 W Water Street. The event includes a 5K run, a 5K walk and a fun run for children.

Registration for the 5K is $45 and includes a t-shirt, a BBQ lunch and one drink ticket. Registrations received by September 8 guarantee a t-shirt size. The Fun Run registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt and a hot dog plate. Plates are sold for $10 to non-participants.
The race course is an out-and-back route from Water Street to the Hayes bridge, crossing over to Hayes Plantation with a turnaround near the house and returning to W Water Street. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Edenton Bay Trading Company.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; and 60 and over. The after party and awards ceremony take place at The Herringbone. Proceeds benefit a memorial foundation that awards a $20,000 scholarship to a John A. Holmes senior.
