Event Overview
The Live. Love. Thrive. RUN 5K is an annual athletic event held on Labor Day at the Munroe Falls Metro Park in Ohio. This fourth edition of the event features various ways to participate, including a competitive run, a casual walk, and a virtual option. The in-person courses navigate around the park's tree-lined lake, providing a scenic environment for all participants.
Race Options
Participants can choose from the following distances and formats:
- 5K Run: A chip-timed race covering a distance of 3.1 miles.
- 2.5K Walk: A non-timed walk of 1.5 miles available for participants of different ages.
- Virtual 5K: A remote option allowing runners or walkers to complete 3.1 miles at any location between August 1 and September 7.
Institutional Support
The event is hosted by Linc Worldwide, a nonprofit organization based in Stow, Ohio. The funds collected from the registrations are used to support a faith-based school in Kenya. These contributions help provide food, water, medical care, and education for orphans and impoverished children.
Additional Features
Registered participants receive an event shirt, and additional shirts for both adults and children are available for purchase. The race organizers offer a partial refund of the registration fee to participants who successfully refer five additional people to the event using a specific registration link. Children under the age of two may participate in the walk at no cost. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
