Live Like Laken 5K
Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host the 3rd Annual Live Like Laken 5K on October 24, 2026, at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA (6688 Bells Ferry Road). The event offers an in-person, chip-timed 5K and a virtual 5K option.
Proceeds benefit The Laken Hope Foundation, which supports organizations that promote safety awareness for women, provide aid and tuition assistance for nursing students, and support children’s healthcare. Organizers will distribute safety products and provide information about programs focused on personal safety awareness.
The race is certified for the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. Day-of registration is offered and participants receive a packet that includes a t-shirt while supplies last, a running bib, and other items. Awards include overall male and female winners and top-three male and female finishers across the event’s age divisions, with medals for age-group placings.
The event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine unless local officials determine conditions are unsafe. Dogs are permitted on course when kept on a leash. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
