Live Like Laken 5K 2026
The Live Like Laken 5K is the third annual fundraiser hosted by Cherokee Recreation and Parks at Hobgood Park, 6688 Bells Ferry Road, Woodstock, GA, on October 24, 2026. The event supports The Laken Hope Foundation, Inc., which funds organizations that promote safety awareness for women and provides aid and tuition assistance for nursing students and children’s healthcare.
The event offers both an in-person chip timed 5K and a virtual 5K option. The in-person race is a certified qualifier for the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. Day of registration is available at the event. Registered participants receive a packet that includes a shirt while supplies last, a race bib, and other items.
Organizers will distribute safety products and provide information about programs that promote personal safety awareness. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 20, 21 to 25, 26 to 30, 31 to 35, 36 to 40, 41 to 45, 46 to 50, 51 to 55, 56 to 60, 61 to 65, 66 to 70, and 71 and older.
Dogs are welcome at the park as long as they remain on a leash. The event proceeds and fundraising leaderboards support the foundation and its partner organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
