Live Like Laken 5K
The Live Like Laken 5K is the third annual fundraising run and walk held at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA, organized by Cherokee Recreation and Parks. The event raises funds for The Laken Hope Foundation, which supports organizations that promote safety awareness for women, provide tuition assistance for nursing students, and support children’s healthcare. The race is certified for The Atlanta Journal and Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
Options include an in-person chip timed 5K and a virtual 5K. Day of registration is available at the event. Participants receive a packet with a chosen t-shirt while supplies last, a running bib, and other items.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, starting at 10 and under and continuing through 71 and older. Dogs are welcome on the course if kept on a leash. The event takes place rain or shine unless local officials determine conditions are unsafe.
