Live Like Laken 5K
The Live Like Laken 5K is the third annual fundraising run and walk hosted by Cherokee Recreation and Parks at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA on October 24, 2026. The event raises money for The Laken Hope Foundation, Inc., which supports organizations that promote safety awareness for women, provide aid and tuition assistance for nursing students, and support children’s healthcare.
The race is a certified qualifying event for the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race. Day-of registration is available and entrants receive a packet that may include a t-shirt while supplies last, a running bib, and other items. The event will proceed rain or shine unless officials determine conditions are unsafe.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age divisions start at 10 and under and continue through 71 and older.
Dogs are permitted on course when kept on a leash. Safety information and resources will be distributed at the event, and materials will highlight programs related to personal safety awareness for women.
