Live Like Laken 5K
The Live Like Laken 5K is the 3rd annual run/walk hosted by Cherokee Recreation and Parks at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, Georgia on October 24, 2026. The event raises funds for The Laken Hope Foundation, which supports organizations that promote safety awareness for women, provide tuition assistance for nursing students, and offer children’s healthcare aid.
The event includes both an in-person, chip-timed 5K and a virtual 5K option. The 5K course is certified for The Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race and a course map is available. Day-of registration is offered at the venue. Participants receive a race packet that includes a t-shirt while supplies last, a running bib, and other items.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners and to the top three male and female finishers in age-group categories ranging from 10 and under through 71 and older. The race proceeds rain or shine unless officials declare conditions unsafe. Dogs are welcome at the event when kept on a leash.
