Live Life Nspired 5K Run / Family Walk
This community running and walking event is held in memory of a young girl who died of ovarian cancer. It takes place in downtown Charlotte, Michigan, with activities occurring near 321 E. Harris St. and along the Frontier Days Parade route where thousands of spectators typically watch.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 Miles
- Family Walk & Kids Fun Run, 1.15 Miles
The 5K is described as a flat and fast course through the heart of downtown. Packet pickup is available the day before at AL!VE (800 W Lawrence Ave, Charlotte MI 48813) and at the Hospital Ambulance garage (321 E. Harris St.) on race day. Registration pricing listed includes a $30 fee through two weeks before the event with a guaranteed t-shirt, and a higher fee after that with limited t-shirt availability while supplies last.
Prizes are awarded to top overall finishers for men's, women's, and masters categories, and to the top three finishers in each age division. Age groups include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 and over. Music, snacks, and drinks are provided at the finish line and awards are presented after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
