Live Brave 5K and 1 Mile
Live Brave is a community running event taking place on August 8, 2026 at Colby Lake Park, 9715 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN 55125. The event includes a 5K, a 1 mile, and a combined challenge in which one participant runs both distances.
Distances
- 5K 3.1 mile mostly flat loop, USATF certified
- 1 Mile 1 mile mostly flat loop, USATF certified
- Brave Challenge participant runs both the 5K and the 1 Mile
Timing and race items include gun and chip timing on certified courses, a race T-shirt for participants, and awards for top finishers. Kids 12 and under are eligible to run free in the 1 mile event. Registration opens April 30, 2026 and closes July 11, 2026. Individual race fees are listed as $33.00 and the combined challenge fee is listed as $55.00. No race day registration is available.
The event uses net proceeds to support youth eating disorder prevention and recovery through donations to the WithAll Organization, distributed via the Live Brave Fund at the Woodbury Community Foundation. The post race area includes food and refreshments, sponsor booths, music and an awards presentation. 5K teams may be eligible for team prizes based on size or combined time.
