About the race
The Live Brave event at Colby Lake Park, 9715 Valley Creek Road, MN 55125 on August 14, 2027 features multiple community running events that support youth eating disorder prevention and recovery.
Race options include:
- 5K (3.1 miles) mostly flat loop, certified course, chip timing.
- 1 Mile mostly flat loop, USATF certified course, gun and chip timing.
- The Brave Challenge one individual runs both the 5K and the 1 Mile.
Registration opens May 6, 2027 and closes July 17, 2027. Entry fees listed in the event information are $33.00 for each individual race and $55.00 for the combined challenge. Kids 12 and under are free in the 1 Mile event. No race day registration is available.
The event provides a T-shirt for participants and prizes for top finishers. The course is open to the public; strollers are allowed and pets are discouraged. Bibs must be visible at all times. Awards may be mailed after verification. Post-race activities listed for the event include food and refreshments, sponsor booths, music and entertainment, and a finish-line celebration.
Funds raised are processed through the Live Brave Fund within the Woodbury Community Foundation, with net proceeds distributed to the WithAll Organization to support education, prevention resources, and recovery services for eating disorders.
