Beer Run - The Little Woody
The Little Woody Beer Run is a scenic running event held in Bend, Oregon. Participants follow an untimed 5 km route that begins at The Commons and concludes at the Deschutes Historical Museum. The course leads runners through downtown Bend, passing through Drake Park and traveling alongside the Deschutes River.
This event emphasizes a relaxed atmosphere where the focus is on the environment rather than speed. Along the 5 km path, runners encounter four different craft beer stops. These stations feature offerings from local breweries, including:
- Worthy Brewing
- Crux Fermentation Project
- Deschutes Brewery
- UPP Liquids
Registration for the race includes general entry to The Little Woody Festival. This festival access provides participants with a commemorative tasting glass and six tokens redeemable for beer or cider. The post-race environment features live music, barrel-aged brews, and various games.
Runners are encouraged to dress in creative attire, as the event includes a costume contest with prizes for the best-dressed participants. The race explores the central areas of Bend, offering views of the local landscape and riverfront while integrating local craft culture into the athletic experience.
