Event overview
Little Backyard Adventure is a trail endurance event at L.B.A. Park in Olympia, WA on 14 March 2026. The event offers multiple timed endurance formats:
- 3-hour endurance run
- 6-hour endurance run
- 12-hour endurance run
The event is part of Olympia Trailfest. Each registrant receives a ticket to the Trail Running Film Festival at the Capitol Theater on 15 March. Registration prices listed are $40 for the 3-hour, $60 for the 6-hour, and $95 for the 12-hour, plus platform fees.
Course and logistics
All runners complete the same loop that begins and ends at the main LBA park shelter. Each loop is approximately 4 miles with about 200 ft of elevation gain and mostly single-track trail through forested areas near park ballfields. The course has signage and course markings at intersections and a downloadable GPX file and map are provided.
Race headquarters include space for drop bags and personal pit stations. An aid station at the start/finish supplies water, Tailwind, soda, fruit, chips, pickles, basic first aid, and later quesadillas and soup. The event is cupless; participants are asked to bring a collapsible cup. Parking is available at 3333 Morse-Merryman Road SE, Olympia, WA, with overflow parking announced if needed.
