Event overview
The Jingle Bear Trot is organized by the McCleary Civic Renewal Council as part of the town's Christmas in McCleary activities. The event takes place on December 6, 2025, at Beerbower Park, 100 S 3rd Street, McCleary, WA 98557. The trot accompanies the city’s annual train lighting celebration that marks the start of the holiday season.

Entry and prizes
The entry fee is $5 per person; children under 5 are free. Registration includes a collectible souvenir. Cash and category prizes include a $25 cash prize for first place in each distance, plus awards for Best Kid (13 and younger) and Best Big Kid (14 and older). Prizes are also awarded for best costumes.
Additional event details
Participants are invited to dress in holiday costumes or bring jingle bells. After the trot there will be a train lighting ceremony, Santa sightings and photos, free cocoa and cookies, performances, and a Christmas convoy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
