Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge
The Lismore Samson Fitness Challenge is a two-day event at Hepburn Park Lismore on 5 and 6 March 2027 that combines competitive fitness tasks with fundraising for paediatric equipment. The event supports the Our Kids charity, which raises money to purchase equipment for the Children’s Ward and Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital and surrounding hospitals in the Northern Rivers. The 2026 event contributed to the purchase of a ventilator for the Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital.
The main Team Samson event is a four-person team challenge made up of nine sequential tasks. These tasks include a farmers walk with jerry cans, a prowler push, a 130 kg truck tyre flip, a burpee challenge, two 2 km runs, a 1 km swim, a sled plug and an obstacle course. The quickest team to complete all tasks is awarded the Samson title for the following twelve months. The programme also includes Samson Solo on Friday night, Team Samson Teen and Junior on Saturday and Samson Kids on Saturday, providing separate event formats across the weekend.
Results and past participant times are recorded from prior years. The event is described as a practical fundraiser that combines multiple fitness disciplines with community fundraising for local paediatric care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
