LIRRC Wednesday Night Summer Series
The LIRRC Wednesday Night Summer Series consists of multiple races held on Wednesday evenings from May through August. The events take place at Eisenhower Park Field 2 (Parking Lot 2) in East Meadow, New York.
The main race is a 5K run/walk. On the 11th night of the series (August 5th), the event is a 1 Mile run/walk that is also a USATF-Long Island Grand Prix race. A Kids Fun Run is also available before the main event.
Registration pricing varies. A discount is offered to members of the Long Island Road Runners Club (LIRRC). The event has standard fees for the 5K and 1 Mile distances, with separate rates for club members and non-members. Active military personnel can participate for free. The kids fun run has a small fee, and all children receive a ribbon.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top three in each of the standard age group categories.
